Gerry Courtney is the patriarch of this family, married to Myrna, father/step-father, grandfather and great-grandfather to all these kids.

  1. What's your full name? Gerald Francis Courtney
  2. Were you named for someone? No.
  3. Do you go to school? And if so, what grade? No.
  4. Do you have a job? If so, what do you do? I'm retired from retail stores on Pier 39 in San Francisco.
  5. Name one thing you love about your job or school. When I worked at Shirtique I enjoyed working with the employees. Sometimes they drove me crazy, but most of them were hard working, fun people to be around.
  6. Name one thing you hate about your job or school. I hated doing inventory.
  7. What kind of music do you like best? What singer? Jazz. Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme.
  8. What's your favorite TV show? Movie? My favorite TV show is 24. Movie is Singing in the Rain.
  9. What are you reading now? What's your favorite book? "How Laughter Cured My Illness. Favorite books are about RV maintenance.
  10. If you have a hobby, what is it? Woodworking, photography, though I've given that up now, clowning, working on the RV gives me more pleasure than anything.
  11. What do you like to do when you can do anything you want? Oh, I got a million answers. Travel in our RV.
  12. If you're into sports, what kind, what position, etc? Racquetball. I watch football and basketball.
  13. Name three things that you're interested in and would like to do, or read about, or learn about, etc? RV maintenance, going to places I've never been, clowning.
  14. What is your favorite meal, start to finish? A good turkey dinner with the drumstick, cranberry sauce, gravy, oyster dressing, rutabagas, strawberry shortcake.
  15. What's your favorite toy? I guess you would consider the RV a toy.
  16. Do you have a pet? No.
  17. Name at last one thing you're good at. RVing - driving, fixing, maintaining.
  18. What's the most fun, most important, or most special thing you've done in the past year or so? I had a tough cancer operation. I learned how much I love Myrna and how much joy she brings to my life.
  19. What is your pet peeve? People who hold up lines.
  20. If you could change something in the world, what would it be? Hatred for the common man. Just the everyday guy who is hated and shot and mutilated, all the horrible things people like Saddam Hussein do to people.
  21. If you could meet in person anyone you choose, living or dead, who would it be? Gene Kelly, JFK.
  22. What do you want to be doing ten years from now? Traveling in my motor home with Myrna.
  23. Who do you live with? Myrna.
  24. Does your family have a tradition you love? The Christmas stockings are a great tradition that Myrna started.
  25. Anything else you would like to add? I like the idea that Myrna and I had about 19 out of 20 of the same answers on the Love Language quiz. :) And I'm fortunate to have 10 of the best darn kids you could find. And that's a fact.
